We Can't Do It Alone

High-quality health care services make up one piece of holistic, patient-centered care, but we recognize that you have needs beyond primary care, dental, and behavioral health. We rely on these organizations to both support our mission and help us provide the best possible care for you and your family.

Novant Health generously provides our Electronic Medical Record system, software and hardware, and office space for our University Clinic. They donate diagnostic imaging for uninsured patients as well as supporting CCHC financially.

LabCorp logo

LabCorp is a leading global life sciences company that is deeply integrated in guiding patient care through its comprehensive clinical laboratory and end-to-end drug development services. The LabCorp location on the first floor of our University location provides convenient on-site laboratory services, as well as processing laboratory samples from our West clinic. LabCorp also subsidizes the cost of laboratory testing services for our uninsured patients.

The Goodwill Opportunity Campus, opened in 2016, benefits job seekers by offering a central location for coordinated services. The campus helps Goodwill increase long-term support for clients in their journey to earn a family-sustaining wage. Clients can access medical, dental, and behavioral health care at CCHC alongside job training, financial literacy development, education, childcare, and legal services.

Care Ring logo

Founded in 1955, Care Ring is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing health services for the uninsured, underinsured or those lacking access to affordable, high-quality preventive health care. Our partnership with the Care Ring Physicians Reach Out (PRO) program ensures that CCHC patients have access to specialty care through their network of volunteer providers.

NC MedAssist is a nonprofit pharmacy program providing access to lifesaving prescription medications, patient support, advocacy and related services to poor, vulnerable, and uninsured North Carolina residents. CCHC partners with MedAssist to ensure that all our patients have access to the medications they need.

Mecklenburg County logo

To promote and protect the public’s health, the Mecklenburg County Health Department manages public and environmental health activities in Mecklenburg County. We provide a medical home for patients who arrive at MCHD and need primary care. MCHD also helps us provide STI testing, PrEP for HIV prevention, and healthcare for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Roof Above’s (formerly Urban Ministries/Men’s Shelter of Charlotte) mission is to bring the community together to end homelessness, one life at a time. Roof Above is a comprehensive homeless service provider that provides the full spectrum of services for people experiencing homelessness, from street outreach to emergency shelter and housing. Our outreach nurse works at the Day Services Center (aka Urban Ministry Center campus) and Emergency Shelter for Men (aka Men’s Shelter) two days a week, providing basic health care services and connecting individuals to care at CCHC.

The Center for Community Transitions strengthens our community by helping people with criminal records and their families find a healthier and more productive way of living. Their LifeWorks! program provides individuals with criminal records with a variety of resources and tools necessary to reach their professional and personal goals. We partner with LifeWorks! for our Formerly Incarcerated Transitions (FIT) program, which connects formerly incarcerated individuals who have a chronic disease, mental illness and/or substance use disorder with health care at CCHC.

The Steve Smith Family Foundation, founded in 2013 by Steve and Angie Smith, focuses on the awareness and prevention of domestic violence and the health, wellness, and needs of underserved families and communities. Additonally, the Steve Smith Family Foundation partners with Daymark Recovery Services to operate the Smith Family Behavioral Health Urgent Care in Charlotte.
